My Echo Dot and Alligators in Mississippi

My Echo Dot is sometimes irritating, but mostly amusing.

Recently, Hubbin and I were watching the drama unfold regarding the flooding in Mississippi on one of the news channels. Hubbin was concerned and commented, “You know, the two things that are bad about Mississippi and flood waters, are snapping turtles and water moccasins, right?”

I agreed and added, “and alligators!”

He didn’t outright disagree with me but instead asked our Echo Dot, “Alexa, does Mississippi have alligators?”

Alexa confirmed, “Yes, Mississippi has an alligator.”

Hubbin and I laughed and said in unison, “Only one?”

So I asked Alexa, “Does Mississippi have more than one alligator?”

Her response cracked us up even more.

“I don’t know that.”
