Rainbow Eucalyptus

I took the next photos in Hawaii for my “Photo Fever” blog. These beautiful trees are Rainbow Eucalyptus. Their trunks shed strips of bark as they grow, revealing a green strip of tree trunk underneath. As the green layers dry, they change colors and of course, the trees never shed all their bark at the same time, so strips of revealed trunk will show various stages of colors, which can range from blues, oranges, purples and even shades of reds.
